Lead[edit]

@Hurricaneboy23: A single year since a cyclone impact isn't worth mentioning, especially not in the opening sentence which is meant to convey the most notable aspect of the storm. ~ Cyclonebiskit (chat) 22:23, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that Cyclone Gati (pictured) in November 2020 was the strongest tropical cyclone to impact Somalia on record? Source: "Tropical Cyclone Gati struck the arid nation of Somalia on Sunday as the equivalent of a Category 2 hurricane with 105 mph winds, making it the strongest storm on record to hit the country." General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: The cited source for the hook in the DYK is behind a paywall but there is an article from NPR, cited in the article itself which isn't. That seems like an odd choice but otherwise the article is well cited, neutral and free of plagiarism. The hook is hooky enough and the QPQ was done. Good work on the article. B Class?[edit]

Do you guys think we should promote this article to B-class since it is mostly well-written, it has an Infobox, and it is sourced!? Robloxsupersuperhappyface (talk) 17:35, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Robloxsupersuperhappyface: You might want to expand the P&A, along with the lead and Aftermath section just a little, and maybe (if you can find any) some more sources. Other than that, I feel that it is ready to go for B-class. Cyclone Toby 00:10, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think there may be a little bit of info on ReliefWeb and more info on the Aftermath should come out in the coming weeks. Thanks for your input!Robloxsupersuperhappyface (talk) 00:47, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
