Hello Hurricanehink! I am going to be reviewing this article. Below are the issues have I with passing this article and listing it as a GA:

  • I think the lead is a bit long. Of course, this is a high-impact storm, but you devoted about 21 and a half lines to the impact, but only use six for the MH. Obviously, this storm was important meteorological as well, since it traveled over 6,8000 miles and lasted 29 days. Maybe you should try to cut the impact and add more MH?
  • "It formed on February 1, 2000 in the Australian" - Comma after "2000"
  • "south of Beira, Mozambique near peak intensity" - Comma after "Mozambique"
  • "estimated at $9 million (USD), and collectively"; "and damage estimated at $500 million (2000 USD)." - Why does the former simply say "(USD)", but the latter says "(2000 USD)"
  • Why didn't you wikilink Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Botswana in the last paragraph of the lede?
  • "76 kilometres per hour (47 mph) to St. Brandon. On Mauritius, the cyclone produced wind gusts of 137 kilometres per hour (85 mph)" - Abbreviate km/h
  • Maybe more issues later.

So far, I think it's a nice article that doesn't need to much fixing.--12george1 (talk) 06:38, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
