This plant is also found widely throughout the Auckland region of New Zealand. It was first noticed here in about 1991. This is not yet designated a weed but given the speed of it invasiveness and difficulty in herbicide use to remove the local pest it should not be to long before it is designated a weed (Jan 2010).
