Democratic Students' Front[edit]

  • Democratic Students' Front: An independent students' organisation of Jadavpur University, Kolkata(Calcutta), India. Established in 1977, after the Naxilite movement in Bengal. it has always been an assembly of progressive thinking students influenced by very-left politics. Amazingly it has been holding the union by students' election since 1977. more remerkable is the fact that it vehimently opposes the state government that is also communist and is in the state govt for more than 30 yrs. in a situation when every other college union belongs to the students org of the govt party, DSF is holding fort stronger than ever and asserting political programmes ranging from examination system to agricultural development to lebenon-israel. 22:12, 31 August 2006‎ User:61.0.136.203
