Creation notes
[edit]Fairly convinced the DWWR work best as one article. DWWR is chosen as the first to emerge as a 'new build' though some 2-4-0T conversions were originally built sooner. Attempting to have the 2-4-0T class as part of the this article would I feel be too confusing. This is deliberately created as a stub so content can be added later. DWWR 11 new build
[edit]Current version of Steam locomotives of Ireland#Dublin and South Eastern Railway (1853–1924) Claimed 11 St. Kevin was a 2-4-0T rebuild, whereas Clements, McMahon isbn isbn 9781906578268 pp133-136 says a newbuild. Because newbuild is sourced, and rebuild appears not, I am going with newbuild on affected pages. Thankyou.Djm-leighpark (talk) 18:22, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]GSR Classes
[edit]The GSR treated the two batches quite differently. The later 434/F1's were re-boilered mostly in 1925/26 with 101/4' 4" boiler and may have been favoured ... The 428/F2's may have been left may as 2nd class (and were grouped with 423/2-4-0's in a 1948 report). This needs to be worked into the article at some point.Djm-leighpark (talk) 00:08, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
