Contested deletion[edit]

I do not see how this is promotional at all. Purely informative... Can you give me a specific reason for its removal? --TheWikiCreator7 (talk) 21:17, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. There are actually two issues with this article. Firstly, it is unambiguously promotional - even if the only purpose is to "inform," well that's the same thing. Secondly, there is no indication of significance - in other words, why should Wikipedia have an article about this company? I suggest using the Article Creation wizard in future, and submitting your drafts for review. Exemplo347 (talk) 21:19, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Consider renaming to "DaVita"[edit]

The article for DaVita redirects to this page.

DaVita the company is a Fortune 500 company publically listed on the NYSE as DVA[1]. DaVita Medical Group is a subsidary that was sold to UnitedHealth Group in 2017. I propose that DaVita be the subject of the article, and DaVita Medical Group should be a subsection within it.

Other options:
1. Redirect DaVita to Davita Inc. (only) and use a hatnote to point to DaVita Medical Group.
2. Make DaVita a disambiguation page with links to both Davita Inc. and DaVita Medical Group

DaVita and Political Lobbying[edit]

It might be worth mentioning the role DaVita has played in lobbying California politics. In 2018, Prop 8 was opposed by DaVita and Fresenius who spent a combined $111 million to defeat a bill aimed at limiting companies profits off of dialysis at 15%. DaVita also pays the AKF to entice patients to sign up for their private insurance plan that charges ~4% more than medicare.

Pretty scammy and well documented on many sources.
