Lead

[edit]

The term was defined as referring to metre both by syllable and stress, but broke the definition between the lead (containing the line "In quantitative verse...") and a lower paragraph (the other half: "In accentual verse...").

I united both halves to the lead, grouped the example that was in the lead with the other examples listed lower, fixed spelling of "anapaest" and hyperlinked that word.

No wording/sentence changes were made. Please see the {diff}.Joevanisland 19:32, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hemlock is a trochee because the stress is on hem, and lock is a slack rather then a stress. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.138.65.67 (talk) 19:07, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Usage in modern hip hop

[edit]

This is the most common form of the well-known triplet flow in trap/hip hop. Due to its prominence this should probably be mentioned, but having trouble finding good citations. Nerdwizard (talk) 21:16, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
