Incorrect title

[edit]

I have been trying to get my name spelled right. Dan Georgakas not Georgiakis.

A similar problem has come up on barnes&noble.com

Very annoying....georgakas@hotmail.com

Can someone help?

Notability assertion

[edit]

While this article could use more citations to secondary sources, the subject appears to pass notability per WP:ACADEMIC, as Georgakas is highly cited on Google Scholar compared to other authors on the topic of Black radical history. signed, Rosguill talk 20:45, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

@Aboudaqn, Wikipedia:Verifiability#Reliable sources describes the types of sources required on Wikipedia: coverage from sources that have editorial oversight and discretion, not primary sources affiliated with the author (or the author himself). If a secondary source cannot be found to cite the information, the implication is that secondary sources did not find the factoid worth covering. czar 21:19, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Czar How about just jumping in and lending a hand at beefing up next time, instead of not just critiquing but removing?! Isn't Wikipedia about "contributing"...? --Aboudaqn (talk) 21:46, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Rhetorical questions, yes? If you read my edit summary, you would see that the article has needed more sources for some time now. The burden of demonstrating verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material. czar 22:07, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
