Hello Wikipedia Community,

I am having trouble linking to Dan Green page on IMDB. If anyone could get the link to work correctly would be helpful. Sorry.

I think it works. What was wrong with it? (I did nothing, by the way.) Paul Haymon 15:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Info Template

[edit]

I removed the info template —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.42.165 (talkcontribs)

Why? There was no reason for it to be removed. --PAK Man + 23:08, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Think about it, alot of the information the template provides is also in the article.

Syrus Truesdale?

[edit]
Well, I don't watch Yu-Gi-Oh!, so I can't confirm if it's true or not. But be extremely careful when dealing with sites such as TV.com. They have so many inaccuracies, especially when it comes to voice actors. Again, I have not seen Yu-Gi-Oh, so I can't really say if it's Green or Grayson. --PAK Man Talk 18:18, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think he's the voice of Syrus. I can't find a credible source on his VA though, one site's saying it's Wayne Grayson... but that doesn't seem right either. Let me ask one of the VAs dubbing GX and i'll get back to you on this-- March 2, 2008 -Slifertheskydragon

Slifer- he did not voice Syrus Truesdale, Wayne Grayson has always voiced Syrus. ~The Ninja —Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.128.35.21 (talk) 12:11, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Template Removal

[edit]

Could someone please explain to me why different users keep removing the actor template? There's no reason for it to be removed. --PAK Man Talk 17:01, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because his voice acting sucks and nobody care what his notable roles are.

That's a very immature reason. --PAK Man Talk 17:41, 27 July 2007 (UT

Nobody asked you. Now make someone happy and shut the Hell up.

Sheesh. Wikipedia is a place for fact, not opinion. Dan Green is considered an actor whether he's good at it or not. I think Keanu Reeves sucks as an actor, but he still has his template. If you think he sucks as an actor, don't visit his wikipedia article or any article on him for that matter.

Thank you for your agreement. --PAK Man Talk 23:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The real reason is because no othe 4Kids employies (aside from Mike Pollock) has a template.

Still, he is an actor and as long as he has a template, I see no reason for its removal. --PAK Man Talk 20:50, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then why did Jason Griffith's and Sean Schemmel's templates get removed and never put back? I you tell, I won't romove the template.

I don't know. But I still think there's nothing wrong with the template, and if someone is going to remove it, they should at least put a logical reason for removing it and not that he's a bad actor. --PAK Man Talk 20:49, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed

Redirect

[edit]

Shouldn't "Dan Green" redirect from here?

There's a few other people named Dan Green. So that's why it's "ambiguous" -Slifertheskydragon

Template

[edit]

I don't think there should be a template. Alot of the information it provides is also provided in the article.

Well, that's a legitimate enough reason for me. --PAK Man Talk 21:20, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PUT THE EFFING TEMPLATE BACK! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.11.54.254 (talk) 07:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dan Green DID NOT VOICE LUGIA OR KELP CITY MAYOR IN SPONGEBOB

[edit]

Lugia in the 2nd movie was voiced by Eric Rath, NOT Dan Green. Please stop changing this back/adding this -Slifertheskydragon

Also note he did NOT voice the mayor of new kelp city in Spongebob, that was Clancy Brown. Please stop putting it back in. I'm currently working on confirming the other sponge credits but I doubt it's him since he's under contract with 4kids still. -Slifertheskydragon

yughio abbridged by littlekuribo

[edit]

should it be noted that dan green has been paradied on itunes podcast yughio abbridged and several episodes refer to dan actually being the voice of yugi/yami (this is false as the voice of them is played by littlekuribo creator of parody) but usely when songs have been done say is weird al they are usually noted on the artists page. It's not a joke at dan in my opinion it's basically saying dan is a great voice actor. I think would show how popular dan green is that a parody artist refers to the original voice actor where as other abbridged series don't do this. It's very popular on iTunes and deserves recognition signed mikey d (I'm on iPhone so can't sign in) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.10.236 (talk) 15:16, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dan Green is LK's real name, ya know. He's not this Dan Green, but his real name is Dan Green. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.205.62.182 (talk) 18:41, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, Martin Billany is his real name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.8.45.4 (talk) 18:13, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the original poster, Martin's frequent references to Dan Green contribute to the vast majority of his popularity in internet culture. I would add a sentence or two on the subject, but Wikipedia's got that nasty policy of deleting YGOTAS-related material on sight. i wonder why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.158.33.155 (talk) 00:19, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections concerning looks

[edit]

I have corrected and modified several lines in this page. These changes were mostly done to 'Anime':

  • removal of non-anime entries, Spongebob Squarepants and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness - I have added these to 'Non Anime' and 'Video Games', respectively
  • removal of '(Japan)', '(USA)', '(English)' and similar parts - animes are obviously made in Japan, and Dan Green obviously dubbed them in English, for USA releases
  • removal of 'voice of' parts - again, being a voice actor, he obviously was voice of the listed characters
  • changing of em dashes (—) to hyphens (-) - takes less space and it was easier than it would have been to change it the other way
  • correcting broken links where possible
  • removing or joining double entries
  • removal of '(TV)', '(OVA)' and similar parts where needed - for example, Stepmother's Sin is only an OVA, it does not feature movies nor TV series, thus the '(OVA)' addition isnt needed
  • adding dates where it was missing - looks more consistent this way
  • correction of alphabetic listing, where needed

Further changes were alphabetising 'Non-Anime' and 'Video Games', renaming 'Filmography' to 'Notable Roles' (filmography sounds silly for a voice actor), and, accordingly, renaming of 'Anime Roles' and 'Non Anime Roles' to their present state. Entries in 'OVA Roles', given that they are animes, were placed into 'Anime'.

I did not notably change the characters listing, nor fixed the inconsistency of the other categories, but I might do it some time later.

Hentai

[edit]

I do believe that Dan Green is a VA in this Hentai.

I think the name of it is Elder Stud's Wife is Obstinate, and I didn't see it placed on the list.--Bobbigboy (talk) 04:05, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Years active section

[edit]

Hi. I have concerns about the years active section in the infobox. Dan Green's IMDB profile states that he was active in 1983, but unfortunately, IMDB does not count as a reliable source and this is a BLP. Armored Troops Votoms was released years later than that. I am thinking about discussing the situation here rather than getting involved in an edit war. Thoughts? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 04:04, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Birthdate Contradiction

[edit]

The article linked in the Daily Mail says he was 41 when his wife died, which would make him born in 1970. IMDB says 1971, which is closer than 1975. Also, February 7 or 15. Sounds like no authoritative sources at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.73.22.113 (talk) 05:15, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Info Regarding

[edit]

I would like to point out that Miriam Pultro did not succeed Dan as Mewtwo(Original)as the Mewtwo he voiced has yet to appear again since Mewtwo Returns. Miriam Paltro voices Best Wishes Mewtwo, a different Mewtwo. There's a big difference. [1] Don't watch the movie, it sucked even for a pokemon movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.105.225.54 (talk) 02:16, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This issue is getting out of hand fast. We need to find reliable source for Knuckles the Echidna per WP:BLP and WP:V, and if there are sources, please post them here. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:28, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date

[edit]

When was he born? Although Rotten Tomatoes says 1975 in California, others like the NY Daily News implied 1970 as it stated he was 41 when his wife died. Also his name is not present on the California Birth Index. 208.127.190.114 (talk) 23:49, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how Rotten Tomatoes can qualify as a reliable source with respect to birth details. Materialscientist (talk) 04:31, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Dan Green (voice actor)

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Dan Green (voice actor)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "imdb":

  • From The Machine Girl: "Kataude mashin gâru". [IMDb]. Retrieved 2009-07-28.
  • From G.I. Joe: Sigma 6: "G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 (TV Series 2005–2006) - IMDb". IMDb.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 07:44, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
