Stripperland[edit]

The article indicates he is set to appear in Stripperland, which will be released in 2010... It is kind of 2011 already, isn't it? I think that needs to be updated! User:No Account —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.246.164.47 (talk) 00:49, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Film and television star Daniel Baldwin moves into music

PORTLAND, Ore.– After conquering the small screen, Daniel Baldwin (Homicide: Life on the Streets, The Sopranos) hopes to conquer your speakers with the release of his first hip-hop track. The single “Club Life” marks Baldwin’s foray into the music scene and is part of the official soundtrack of Stripperland, a feature film due on DVD in April.

“I always wanted to be a rapper,” Baldwin said.

Baldwin co-wrote the lyrics with Northwest hip-hop legend Pale Soul. Pale Soul also provided the backing track. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ritchiebristol (talkcontribs) 23:09, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Less judgemental photograph[edit]

Does anyone have a better photograph for this page? Daniel Baldwin, while not exactly an A-list celebrity, is nonetheless best know for his acting career, and not as a criminal. I don't think it's appropriate to use a mug shot as his photograph. It's repeated twice on this page, and is also the only photograph on the Baldwin brothers page. James A. Good luck trying to get a fair use. Wikipedia is going nuts and deleting anything and everything. Mug shots are public domain. Dkkicks 04:14, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mugshots are not all public domain. If its produced by a US federal agency its public domain. In this case, the mugshot was apparently produced by a county sheriff's office - so not public domain, and the image is tagged with a fair use template. Bwithh Join Up! You stated, "the mugshot was apparently produced by a county sheriff's office - so not public domain." That is wrong. As a matter of California law, all mugshots produced by all law enforcement agencies within California are in the public domain. The whole purpose of a mugshot is for it to be freely disseminated. Restricting its use, therefore, would be counter-productive. Legal Wiggle (talk) 15:19, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate photo[edit]

Do we really need two copies of the same mugshot in one article? --The Dark Side 01:22, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think its highly inappropriate to use the mugshot as the main lead photo for WP:BLP/undue weight reasons. I'm removing the duplicate at the top and reducing the size of the second image. Let's try not to make Wikipedia celebrity articles come across as schadenfreude gossip pages..... Bwithh Join Up! See the World! 18:27, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
All image seem to have been removed in the last years. I see no discussion on this talk page. As such I have restored the image in the text. Taketa (talk) 17:50, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Balance tag[edit]

Please lets try not to turn celebrity articles into tabloid gossip pages. I added the balance tag as the article gives a couple of sentences to discussing this actor's career and then whole mass to discussing his personal problems. Before I removed the unsourced negative gossip (WP:BLP issues) about supposed misbehaviour on a dieting/get fit gameshow, that gossipy part accounted for almost all of his career section! Career section should be expanded in a way which properly recognizes his noteworthy acting career Bwithh Join Up! See the World! 18:42, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And let's not use the external links section for attack links. Bwithh Join Up! See the World! 07:56, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

¶ I can appreciate your point, but I also would appreciate greater candor about his conniving behavior (typical of an addict resisting detox) on the Celebrity Rehab program. Sussmanbern (talk) 07:14, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
