Birth year[edit]

1952 birth year is taken from the Harvard database of botanists. It's possible this year is wrong, but if changing the year please provide citation.

Categories - American botanist[edit]

I reverted an edit to add this article back into the American Botanists category because as far as I can tell, that category is used for other articles. Happy to discuss this if there is documentation about why this should not be the case. Emjackson42 (talk) 15:02, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Antivaxxer[edit]

Hi, all. I appreciate that Atha is against vaccinations (and I'm not defending that), but I don't think that's on par with his professional status as a botanist. I propose removing the 'antivaxxer' mention from his intro sentence since his stance on vaccinations is covered later in the article. Eager to hear your thoughts, and, thanks.
