Nationality Changes from "Indian" to "Sikkimese"

[edit]

Hi everyone, I have noticed some editors recently seem to be changing Danny Denzongpa's Nationality in the lead from Indian to Sikkimese, however, this is not appropriate for the lead because as per the Wikipedia policies in Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biographies, only the official Nationality of the country he is from should be added in the lead, not the state he is from which isn't even its own country. In any case, I have added Sikkim in this page's infobox before India (in the "Born" section) and even if Sikkim was a separate country years ago, it is now a state of India and has been part of India for many years so even if you perceive him to be Sikkimese, his Nationality is still Indian at the end of the day and in the lead, it should not be changed from Indian to a nationality which doesn't even exist as Sikkim is not a separate country, being part of India, so please do not change this. Thank you. Broman178 (talk) 19:50, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
