Converting the long 'Plot' into a conforming format
[edit]When this page was first made it had a 'plot' section that was without internal links, far too long, without citations, and not written in encyclopedic style. In May 2010, I tried to address those issues, and produced a much shorter version. In the following months, other editors also contributed.
But, in October 2010, these changes were reverted back to the old, long, version of the plot (which had been added in May when this article was first established). A comparison is: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dark_Days_in_Monkey_City&action=historysubmit&diff=403004141&oldid=388062363
Since then, the issue tags have been updated by other users & some copy editing has been made, but it doesn't look as though there's been significant progress since then (for the full 2011 calendar year):
This article may require copy editing for grammar, style, cohesion, tone, or spelling. (December 2010) |
This article's plot summary may be too long or excessively detailed. (December 2010) |
Other than basic copy-editing, there has been no change at all through 2011 to this *plot* section: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dark_Days_in_Monkey_City&action=historysubmit&diff=464340212&oldid=403004141 - and those copy edits are all in text that had been trimmed, and corrected in earlier versions (and so represent a fair amount of unconstructive Wiki work).
WP:BOLD - I'll return the trimmed text of the earlier version, making sure that no points from 2011 are lost. I don't want to lose anything, but I feel that this version is written in the standard summary style, and contains everything that was included before (but now in the approved style, and cited). I don't think that the uncommented October 2010 revert has ultimately helped the article, and hope that any errors in this new version can be updated steadily (without wholesale revision), and in line with policy.
