Victims of the Dark Masters[edit]

1) Piximon was presumed dead by the digidestined (1.43, Playing Games, Mimi built a memorial for piximon along with the other dead) - might lend more credibility to the belief that he is dead.
2) The arm note about the English version doesn't seem entirely accurate. After the arm gets blown off, it disintegrates which I always interpreted to mean he had been destroyed. Yes, it might be slightly cut from the Japanese version, but I felt the message was still there. His failure to show up later, the fact all sound from him ended before the arm dissintegrated and there was only one line that sounded like an allusion rather than a comment about suggesting it was just his arm that he lost.....I don't think the comment is accurate.

Here's some comments :)

Piximon doesn't appear again, which seems unlikely since all the "good" surviving Digimon help the DigiDestined against Piedmon's army, (excluding Mojyamon, Drimogemon, Floramon and Deramon). Also he wouldn't stand a chance against the 4 Dark Masters combined since he couldn't seem to defeat even Etemon; and the "explosion" they see at the beginning of episode 41 is unlikely not to be Piximon. There's also nothing suggesting that he didn't die (the fact that he's dead is mentioned a few times), so the verdict is clear.

You could also say the same about Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon; how is Myotismon running a jail in the Digiworld, and how does using "Grisley Wing" transport them there rather than kill them? But the audience is supposed to believe that they are sent to Myotismon's dungeon at that point (at least in the English dub) because of the words spoken by the characters. Machinedramon's comment "let me reward you..." makes his actions pretty obvious, but why would WaruMonzaemon whimper "he shot my paw!" if the rest of him was destroyed as well? He would be screaming in pain and the "arm" wouldn't even be a side issue. And his arm would disintegrate if it wasn't connected to the rest of his body anyway (in a similiar manner to a biological organism). Of course, many aspects of Digimon seem illogical and self contradictory (I actually like the first season at least, so don't take this the wrong way), but the audience is supposed to believe that Warumonzaemon survived his encounter with Machinedramon and presumably hid in the sewers somewhere from his former boss, the Numemon and the Digidestined :)

Keep[edit]

Let the pages stay separate! This will ruin the links on the list of Digimon pages like they did with some of the Digimon belonging to the Digi-Destined. Rtkat3 (talk) 16 January 2007, 12:40 (UTC)

I'm on your side on this, that's going too far. User:Fractyl
I agree, there's only 4 dark masters anyway! Is merging them REALLY nessacary? Bubble bunny
Yes. -- Ned Scott 15:48, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dark Masters is an Original group and appeared only on the world of Digimon Adventure. Their connection is not intended by original creaters and each of them is depended from the other. We shouldn't merge against Creater's intention.--58.70.5.14 13:58, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Think of it this way, guys. As it stands, all these miscellaneous articles are difficult for the AVERAGE READER to wade through. We have no trouble finding articles, because we've immersed ourselves in the Digimon universe. But what about the mom who wants to know more about her child's interest or the adult that has vague recollections of this stuff and pops on Wikipedia to see if his memories stack up to reality? They're gonna have a hell of a time wading through category upon category and article upon article, not to mention have no idea what the articles mean since they fail to provide the fundamental mechanics of the Digimon universe. In fact, I'm sure they wouldn't do it. Normal people don't spend their days in Wikiland. :P So in short, before you decry the reorganization look outside of yourself, think of the children, blah blah blah. WP:SNOWBALL doesn't seem to apply here, at all. Maybe you were thinking of a slippery slope, or a problem snowballing and getting larger? In any case - the dark masters were a major group of villains, and acted as a group character in a way unrelated to how their respective species' act. As almost a gestalt character, it makes most sense for them to be here.KrytenKoro 06:40, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

This article needs some serious rewritting. The information is scattered and unorganized. I am going to start working on this.--Mmmundo 03:47, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances[edit]

Do the Dark Masters make any appearances outside of Digimon Adventure? If not, then someone needs to indicate when they appear, as the info only covers the First season. If so, then the article should state that "They appear in the anime Digimon Adventure" at the beginning.

Thanks,

As far as I know they only appear in Digimon Adventure (season one), however they are mentioned briefly in Digimon Adventure 02 (season two).--Mmmundo 17:49, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Origin[edit]

I seem to remember either the trading cards or the anime claiming that MetalSeadramon was the MegaSeadramon they once fought, and at that, the Seadramon (it might have just been Fox - I remember that they did have a Seadramon marathon one day). Since It's not clear whether Apocalymon created the Dark Masters out of nothing, or merely evolved four ultimates to mega and made them evil - should this be mentioned?KrytenKoro 06:34, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't the Dark Masters exist before the start of Digimon Adventure? If you recall, Piedmon appeared in a flashback with Gennai before the start of Digimon Adventure. Nightmare SE 10:23, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is true - Apocalymon 'created' them, they sealed away the Soverigns, they left (who knows where too), first part of Adventure took place, then they returned to claim the Digital World.--Mmmundo 14:17, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
the original dark masters were created by Apocalymon, but a certain digimon can digivole into one of the dark masters. SkullGreymon or Megadramon digivolves into Machinedramon and Cherrymon digivolves PuppetmonDarthwin 16:34, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
