Sourcing
[edit]@DaniloDaysOfOurLives not sure where you heard that they don't require sourcing as Wikipedia:How_to_write_a_plot_summary#Citations makes it clear. That was entirely original research, which has been a tagged issue here for a literal decade. Star Mississippi 15:36, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
@Star Per WP:SOAPS, it says that they don't need to be sourced (WP:SOAPS#Storyline sourcing): "As agreed by WikiProject participants, storyline sections do not require sourcing, as the programme itself acts as the source. These sections can be verified by watching the series" DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 16:07, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately @DaniloDaysOfOurLives that's a WP:Local consensus which does not override policy. As the editor who wants to add the information the onus is on you to get consensus to restore it.
The responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content.
. Please seek a third opinion or input from another editor and do not restore the information before doing so. Star Mississippi 17:00, 11 March 2023 (UTC)- Neither of the links both editors have provided here are guidelines, but MOS:PLOTSOURCE is; and that states that while they are encouraged, inline citations are not necessary for plot due to the work itself acting as a source. That being said, I hate storyline sections with a passion, mainly due to the length of some of them. Perhaps this storyline section could be restored with some trimming, and if reliable sources can be found, it would benefit the article. – Meena • 17:09, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
