article name

[edit]

I previously commented in the Talk page of Buck House (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), as follows:

"If the more common name for this place is Darnall's Chance, then the article could be moved/renamed to that title. However, the title in the NRHP infobox should stay as Buck House because that is the NRHP program name for the place. And, the list of NRHP places in the county should also show this as Buck House, because that is the NRHP name. It happens fairly often, that an NRHP name is no longer the common name or otherwise the best name for an article. I don't know in this case. doncram (talk) 02:36, 31 October 2008 (UTC)"[reply]

Now I see that the article was merged into Darnall's Chance but the NRHP infobox was changed to show "Darnall's Chance / Buck House", which is not the NRHP name. I will restore it to show the NRHP name. And, in the statewide list, where the place has been moved in name also, I will restore it to show Buck House as well. Please discuss here. doncram (talk) 14:46, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Col. Henry Darnall's 1704 patent

[edit]

I was unable to find anything about Col. Darnall's 1704 patent on the property in Maryland: a new guide to the Old Line State. Is this the correct reference? What is the page number? The Philip Darnall article also cites this reference as source of the 1704 patent, but doesn't provide a page number.Folklore1 (talk) 16:02, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
