Edit comment

[edit]

Ignore the comment for my last edit, I conflated dasymetric with proportional symbol as the description for the former on thematic map is really weak. I stand by the edit though, as it is still possible to create this style of map in GIS. For instance, in ArcMap you'd probably use the Spatial Analyst extension to generate a smooth grid. --Belg4mit 21:47, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Overhaul

[edit]

I worked through this page, reorganizing some random-seeming text, adding a lot of citations, and some explanation. A few things could be added:

  • Some decent illustrations, including method diagrams and resultant maps.
  • More explanation of the methods, possibly by the authors.

I reset the WikiProject Maps rating, if someone wants to re-review the page. Bplewe (talk) 01:46, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
