"facultative feeder"

I returned to this article to clean up a couple things, and saw "disambiguation required" note by the sentence "D. plumbeus is a facultative pollen feeder", for the word "facultative". To be brief, I was unable to find any real supporting note for this in the cited work:

Originally, the citation was for "A Field Guide to Color in Beetles", 1984, pg. 334. I've looked at the copy at Archive.org; the original page was wrong, and the correct page (pg. 164) doesn't say anything about being a facultative feeder.
The paper Hoebeke and Wheeler paper on D. plumbeus being found in North America cites the above (incorrect) link, but doesn't provide any further context. My guess is that the original intention was Facultative saprophyte -- but I can't find any citation to back that up, other than papers citing Hoebeke & Wheeler, which feels like a bit of an echo chamber.

Given all that, I removed the "facultative feeder" phrase, and thus the warning about needing disambiguation. Hopefully I haven't messed up here.
