The article says "While the Trans-Pacific Partnership included language that would have prohibited data localization restrictions among participants,[8] the treaty was abandoned and never took effect." But does a prohibition against data localization exist in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP11) that did take effect for most of the would-be TPP signatories?
