Movie end[edit]

If this plot synopsis is only the movie and not the book, he pointedly doesn't "jump in" to the back of the truck. He would have been rolled in a similar manner to how he first met Noodles, with union thugs grabbing him as he came to meet Noodles the way he did at the end of Prohibition.
