I am not sure who restored the Stub and replaced a biography I had written with some care and good input from "H:dryad". That process could have been ongoing, but the editor seemed more or less satisified with the tone -- not perfectly so. In any case the Stub remains inaccurate, especially with regard to simple things like his education, and incomplete. MarkHilberman (talk) 13:23, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Issue I have with this article

[edit]

Reading this article the other day on my phone, I noticed something in the article that bugged me. Obviously, this article reads somewhat like a biography, but in my opinion, that feels like a detriment than a virtue, particularly concerning the mentions of Walt Disney. I'm neither approving nor disavowing his actions, but the article becomes unnecessarily opinionated and biased when talking about the strike and the HUAC hearings. Granted other articles on this site mention these sorts of things, but they're either given proper sources or explicitly stated as being the opinions of experts, such as the articles on Walt Disney and the Hollywood blacklist. Neither of these things are present here, with weasel words often taking the place of objectivity, making the article feel more like an opinion piece disguised as a biography rather than a truly encyclopedic article like what is generally preferred here.
