There is a recording with David McCallum available: He plays the solo violin accompanying Kathleen Ferrier in Have mercy, Lord, on me of Bach's St Matthew Passion (BWV 244), National Symphony Orchestra, Malcolm Sargent, Kingsway Hall, London, Feb 6, 1946; contained in: Kathleen Ferrier, Centenary Edition (Decca 478 3589), 2012.

It seems likely that he would have worked with Lonnie Donegan's father, who played violin in the same orchestra, and must have been about the same age. Could be an interesting link. Valetude (talk) 23:45, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
