[edit]This article is about the person, so links to sites about his comic strips are off topic. If the comic strips are so important, start an article specifically about it, with the links there. --Ronz (talk) 16:12, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
The link under dispute is Official Carol Day website. Now we can follow WP:ELBURDEN without the concern that the link is inaccessible. --Ronz (talk) 16:58, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
Looking over carol-day.com, I'd hoped we could settle this by linking to information about the artist, but there's nothing but a photo. --Roz (talk) 17:04, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- The article is about a person who was an artist. Artists are notable because of their work. How can a site that gives further information about, and examples of, this particular artist's work be "off-topic"? The other link is also about his work and not his person - and should probably be removed, not because it's off-topic, but because it appears to be dead. --Nicknack009 (talk) 17:39, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- From what I can make out, the link to Illustrated London News Picture Library was just that, a link to the owners of some of his work. Definitely inappropriate even before it went dead. Removed. --Ronz (talk) 17:58, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I'm not even finding a redirect page for "Carol Day". I'm not sure what the title should be, "Carol Day (comic)"? --Ronz (talk) 18:00, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- http://www.comicstripfan.com/newspaper/c/carolday.htm has some useful information on both Wright and the comic. Not sure if it would be considered a reliable source, but there's much referenced that should be. --Ronz (talk) 18:27, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- comicstripfan.com might be a reliable source. It's being used as both an external link and source in other articles. Worth looking into further. --Ronz (talk) 15:41, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- There's nothing at comicstripfan.com that I can find that shows it would meet WP:RS, nor can I find any discussions on it's use. --Ronz (talk) 16:59, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

- http://ukcomics.wikia.com/wiki/Carol_Day has info about the comic's brief revival, but doubtful it would be considered a reliable source. --Ronz (talk) 18:27, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- There's no article at Carol Day, so there's no need for disambiguation. I'll see what sources I can dig up. --Nicknack009 (talk) 19:35, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

- http://www.cartoons.ac.uk/artists/davidwright/biography is unlikely to be a reliable source, but has info on Wright that might be worth trying to verify. --Ronz (talk) 21:12, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
