LMAO. --TheMadTim 01:53, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, I'll thank you not to remove my considered opinions of the actions of editors. --TheMadTim 02:13, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

While I'm here, exactly which portion of WP:VAND are you referring to? --TheMadTim 02:15, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You see, I've been over to WP:VAND, and it states : "Talk page vandalism Deleting the comments of other users from article Talk pages, or deleting entire sections thereof, is generally considered vandalism." You have now deleted my comments three times dude. Please discontinue your vandalism. --TheMadTim 02:19, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amendment to article[edit]

I propose that, when unprotected, the article be amended to the template given at WikiFootballerTemplate --TheMadTim 03:58, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]

There is an error, it is stated that Dodds became a reserve coach at Rangers in 1992 and was promoted to being a first team coach when Walter Smith became manager. The problem is that Smith became Rangers manager in 1991. KarateKid7 22:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How do you propose the article should be amended then? --TheMadTim 22:36, 1 May 2006 (UTC) {{editprotected}}[reply]

I am not sure what the story is, however it could just be changed to say that he became a coach at Rangers in 1992, and not put in whether it was reserve team or first team. Unless you know for sure. KarateKid7 22:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, so the text of the article would read "Davie Dodds (born 1958 in Dundee) is a former Scottish football player. Blah blah blah. In 1992 Dodds become a coach at Rangers before leaving in 1997."?

  • Hang on dude, I'd actually quite like to update the article with some sources and add in more information before it is unprotected again. Any objections?--TheMadTim 22:57, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Elephant man[edit]

I know bugger all about Scottish football, but I found this page while searching for "Elephant Man"! What's the story behind this bloke's nickname? It's not mentioned in the article at all, despite the fact that (judging by a Google search) he is famed more for his alleged ugliness than for his footballing ability.

From the photos I've seen, he was not that bad looking; certainly not by the grim standards of 1970s/80s British manhood. Like other allegedly "ugly" footballers, such as Peter Beardsley, he could quite easily have improved his appearance by sporting a less crap hairstyle. 217.155.20.163 20:37, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, sorry, I have to disagree. Ahm no a poof, but even I can recognise that david dodds is one of the ugliest people ever to walk Gods good Earth.

(Be warned, that link will take you to one of the ugliest cunts ever) --Tess Tickle 02:29, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, I still fail to see how he is in any way unusually ugly. Walk around any Scottish town on a Friday night, you will see far worse. And let's face it, compared to the ugliest man in modern English football (the disturbingly un-picturesque Wayne Rooney), this bloke is practically an Adonis. 217.155.20.163 01:11, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In any event, this nickname ought to be mentioned in the article (with cited sources). -- Beardo (talk) 13:17, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
