How is this the "largest" and most widely read newspaper if the circulation listed is less than that of The News? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.85.29.8 (talk) 20:58, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:24 07 2007 001.jpg[edit]

Image:24 07 2007 001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Duplication[edit]

The second paragraph of the opening description is duplicated somewhat by the first of 'Early History', with (albeit similar) perspectives as to Jinnah's aims in establishing the Newspaper. Jinnah's aims could perhaps be stated in just one place. I do quite like the quote though! Blueincubus (talk) 15:13, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and cut the first sentence from the "Early History" section and combined it with the second paragraph of the opening description. It reads much cleaner this way and does contain any redundancies. Good find! Meatsgains (talk) 04:55, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

biased article[edit]

It is not a newspaper of record as it’s circulation is less than that of other dailies (english and urdu). The article is fluffed up with factual deviations to make it seem like the newspaper is a big deal. Its owner is subject to large sexual abuse scandals as well. Muslim League mouthpiece[edit]

The lead needs to state when Dawn stopped being a Muslim League mouthpiece. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 07:47, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
