[edit]I am interested in fleshing out this Day of Fire article more. I have found that the wiki article on Nine Inch Nails is pretty awesome, so I think I would like to see this article move in that direction. I am relatively new, so any input on the following ideas would be great!
A couple of ideas: Initiate a table of content, Begin a discography section, Develop a new page for their self-titled debut album. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Beasley (talk • contribs) .
- For a table of contents we just need several == headings. The software does that automatically. Unfortunately, we don't have much for Day of Fire yet because not much has happened with that band - they've only released one album so far, so there's really no need for a separate discography section yet. I sort of lean toward keeping everything on one page, rather than having articles for albums, until they have 2 or 3 albums out. (I'm the editor who expanded this article to what it is now, btw.) Thanks for your suggestion; this article will get to that level as the band's popularity/recognition/sales continue to grow. --Idont Havaname 20:09, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
- Just a side note - go ahead and be bold if you have anything new to add to the article. --Idont Havaname 20:16, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:558571.jpg
[edit]Image:558571.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 04:48, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Josh Brown Link
[edit]For the band member josh brown it had a link to a search for Josh brown. I changed it because Josh Brown has a musician page. -Brian Alexander (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 17:47, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]Shouldn't there be more here than just the vague "Christian rock"? On their myspace page they are listed as Rock/Alternative/Progressive. But more immportantly, on the official Day of Fire site Bio it says "Day of Fire began the process of writing this record by going back to the groups who inspired them musically: AC/DC, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Nirvana." Four of those are grunge bands, doesn't that make DOF post-grunge? If you listen to them, you can really hear their grunge influence. I'm going to add post-grunge. Fair use rationale for Image:Dayoffire album.jpg
[edit]Image:Dayoffire album.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
