It's kind of silly to have a section titled, "Identity of seven billionth person", when the preceding section makes it abundantly clear that there isn't even the tiniest chance that the seven-billionth person could ever be identified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.112.157.111 (talk) 20:15, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's rather a poor header, I agree. There was something in there about the 7,000,000 billionth baby, not just Nargis (don't think Plan International meant for her to be symbollically chosen as the seven billionth). I'll reword it. Buggie111 (talk) 23:59, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Guess I don't know my own article....anyway. Nargis is a symbolic person, i.e., she isn't 7 bi., she's just the one chosen to represent that (see Day of 6 Billion and Day of 5 Billion. I'll reorder it, though. Buggie111 (talk) 00:02, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

lead paragraph

[edit]

the lead paragraph speaks of a day in 2011 as if it's in the future.... PurpleChez (talk) 20:09, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
