Dispute

[edit]

on the main article it says "Daystar has also been involved in a dispute between EchoStar and Sky Angel over Sky Angel's demand that Daystar and other Christian broadcasters be removed from DISH Network in favor of carriage on Sky Angel."
is that saying that sky angel wants daystar off Dish network (major satellite provider) to be put on sky angel which has a much smaller amount of customers? if so then thats just stupid.

how about a section that says how Daystar is a for profit tv station pretending to be religious to succor people into giving them money? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.215.238.136 (talk) 08:06, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Local Churches?

[edit]

Is there any affiliation between this network and the so-called "local church" movement? The name Daystar was also used by a company that members of that movement used to raise money. LonelyBoy2012 (talk) 07:25, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History correction

[edit]

I enjoy Daystar ,however the following statement regarding Daystar TV being the first christian television station in Alabama is not correct. "In 1984, Marcus and Joni Lamb (née Trammel) moved to Montgomery, Alabama to launch the state's first full-power Christian television station, WMCF-TV".

The Eternal Word Television Network, more commonly known by its initialism EWTN, is an American television network which presents around-the-clock Catholic-themed programming. It was founded by Mother Angelica, PCPA, in 1980 and began broadcasting on August 15, 1981, from a garage studio at the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Irondale, Alabama. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EWTN

Daystar please correct the history error. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.175.164.16 (talk) 05:39, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
