University-status issue

[edit]

So the whole rename from DLSU to DLS thing started here at DLSU-D? --Mithril Cloud 01:02, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know, yes. Because in 2004, some school (for girls, and is running for university status) invoked DLSU-D's name as a questioning factor for the usage of the word "university." At that time, I supposed that Dasmariñas, CSB, et al. were using the "University" name of Manila, although they were not formally declared universities of their own accord. So there it was. i think it's safe to say that this section (University Status Issue) is not necessary anymore in the inclusion of the article page since the issue has already been settled. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.1.53.31 (talk) 08:48, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, not really. After all, the event was historical, and it deserves to be included for proper documentation, I guess. Xeltran (talk) 14:40, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It deserves to be added to a History section, once made. Mithril Cloud 17:02, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
