Death mask ?? Life mask !!!
[edit]The image identified as Beethoven's death mask is in fact a photo of a mask made in 1812 by Franz Klein while beethoven was in his thirties...
Here is a link to his real death mask: [1] where you can see the effect of his long sickness and considerable weight loss. --Flying tiger (talk) 20:50, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up. Do you know whether the image you link to can be used on Wikipedia? Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:22, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Soory, I do not know... but here are other links to this mask by Josef Danhauser : [2], [3], [4], [5] --Flying tiger (talk) 15:24, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Lead poisoning
[edit]Where has the poisoning led him to? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.13.20.224 (talk) 08:52, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
The information within this article is at odds with everything I've been able to find. This article states that it's dubious whether or not Beethoven suffered from lead poisoning. Every article I've been able to find, dating back to 2005, say that he definitely did die of it. For example, this article from NPR, and this one from the Washington Post. Why does our article say he didn't die of it, citing only one source, when many other sources say he did? If there is some controversy, we should at least mention both sides. It's the NPOV thing to do. — Frecklefσσt | Talk 12:50, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- You're asking about two completely different things. Beethoven suffered from lead poisoning; that's pretty much confirmed by everyone. He didn't DIE from it, however. He was suffering from multiple ailments, including the effects of lead poisoning - but that was a factor, NOT the single cause. Lead poisoning does not automatically mean death FROM lead poisoning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BStockwell (talk • contribs) 04:21, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
You are Mr. Angery about that —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.160.119.81 (talk) 15:40, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I stand corrected. Thank you! — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 18:43, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
