Roman Danylak[edit]

He was a Ukrainian Catholic bishop. I believe 'bishop' is more accurate than 'hierarch'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.205.209.21 (talk) 05:08, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is a link in the article which I will also put here Church. If you read that first paragraph, yes a "hierarch" appears to be equal in office to "bishop" or diocese leader in the Catholic church. However, they are called "hierarchs" in their religious order not bishops, just as their leader is called primate instead of archbishop- even though by church law he holds both positions within the Catholic church. Sunnydoo (talk) 11:37, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My mother is active in the Ukrainian Catholic community, so I am familiar with it. While what you say is true, the simple fact is that common usage is always 'bishop', never 'hierarch'.

Not done: only notable people, and generally only those with their own Wikipedia article, are included in lists of people on Wikipedia. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 05:35, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Needs correction[edit]

Natina Reed was killed on the 26th, not the 27th as the list states.

Dan Tieman passed away earlier today. Could that be listed on the recent deaths page? JazzMan1992 (talk) 22:27, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Find us a reliable source (I can't find any) and we'll add it for you. — WylieCoyote (talk) 01:12, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I thought we didn't use "blogs" as sources? Times have changed, I guess. — WylieCoyote (talk) 00:39, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
WP:USERG distinguishes between personal blogs and professional blogs. Perhaps this one falls into the latter category? WWGB (talk) 00:50, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The policy states "Some news outlets host interactive columns they call blogs, and these may be acceptable as sources so long as the writers are professional journalists or are professionals in the field." This blog used for the source is for an afternoon Sports Talk host in the Cincinnati area and the blog itself is located on a media site (radio station). That is why I considered it within policy to accept it as a reliable source.Sunnydoo (talk) 04:52, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
