Etymology of "dechticaetiative"

"Etymologically, the first morpheme of the term comes from Greek dekhomai "to take, receive"; the second is obscure, but it is remotely possible it derives from kaitoi "further, indeed"."
I cannot see how the second morpheme could come from kaitoi. I would guess it derives from αἰτιατικὴ πτῶσις (aitiatike ptosis), which is the original Greek term for "accusative case", eventually mistranslated into Latin as "casus accusativus". I cannot confirm this derivation, but it seems very reasonable.
