Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... this article is just being created. Ireland has just passed same sex marriage with it origin being easily traced back to Declan Flynn. No wiki page exist about him --U3island (talk) 21:34, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps. No such claim or assertion is made yet and, of course, no references support the claim. I believe this supports the speedy deletion tag. Of course, whether the article remains, at least for the time being to see if the criteria can be met, is up to the reviewing administrator. As it currently stands, I believe review is proper and deletion would be proper. Of course, this would not preclude later posting of a more thorough and supported article. Anon IP 80.111.226.8. Go read WP:BRD. You need consensus and/or policy behind you to keep contested changes. This is a contested change and you do not have consensus as both The Banner and I have reverted you. You can't just keep reverting to force your changes through. (Well - you can try. You'll be blocked.) Re the edit in question - *

Ergo, WP:COMMONNAME applies. Your linking to the Thirty-fourth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland in an edit summary is a red herring. Btw, this page has been on my watchlist for years... BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 16:44, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It must be the common name on reliable sources per your own link. Keep up.80.111.226.8 (talk) 19:53, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
