Talk:Decoder (band)

OK, so there's 2 bands called Decoder, and this article is constantly edited with info from each band.

I believe it should be strictly the Decoder signed to Rise Records, as they are the more well-known of the two. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.225.50.203 (talk) 01:51, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. --68.100.32.159 (talk) 18:18, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not only that, but this page was created for that Decoder. The other Decoder that is being reverted is not notable. If it were, we would distinguish the two. --KЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 17:01, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That legal action does not mean anything to notability. Rise Records' Decoder is the one the article is about. If legal action occurs and the band name is changed, this page will be moved and renamed. The other Decoder will likely NOT get a page, as they are not notable. Just because a name is shared does not mean that they share a page together. --KЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 16:02, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lead Hands

[edit]

Decoder announced via Facebook that they changed their name. Should the page be moved?--Ice66Breaker 02:02, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Moved back to original title

[edit]

Given that the band achieved nothing notable under the "Lead Hands" moniker, and that virtually all the sources supporting their notability use "Decoder", I have moved the page back to its original title, per WP:COMMONNAME. Yunshui  12:05, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
