Fancuft, poor writing, many policy/guideline violations

[edit]

Legolas, as he has done before, insists on inserting fan-level writing that reads as if it were written by a high-school student. "Little does he know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life - a journey within" -- that is the worst sort of unencyclopedic WP:TONE violation. He puts in rumors and gossip and, in another major bit of poor and weaselly writing, the vague, passive voice "it was reported" construction. There are anonymous blog posts as sources (such as this inexcusable one) and other WP:RS violations as well. Additionally, his edit summary ("general clean-up and removing bad links") was grossly and deliberately misleading. This time, I'm calling for a Request for Comment, and respectfully ask that Legolas leave the current version, which does not violate a score of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, up until we hear from others. -- 207.237.223.118 (talk) 13:24, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Statements by editors involved in dispute

[edit]
I would additionally note that anonymous IP 220.227.179.5, who restored the disputed edits by Legolas2186 here, shows many of the very same articles in his user-contributions list as Legolas2186's user-contributions list. -- 207.237.223.118 (talk) 14:53, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comments by other editors

[edit]
  • I think I see where some misunderstanding lies. Legolas2186 writes in what is a standard form in Indian-film fan magazines and Web sites — that is, in a gossipy, conversational form not really appropriate for Wikipedia. Of much more concern are the unreliable sources he cites, such as fan blogs by anonymous/pseudonymous authors, his reversion without discussion, and an edit summary that does not accurately summarize what appears to be, on a surface glance, a WP:OWN reversion. I prefer the version here [2], which is not to say individual points may not be improved upon. -- Farpointer (talk) 18:55, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dilli 6 or Delhi 6 on soundtrack?

[edit]

While this photo on a blog repeatedly cited by an IP seems to imply a song on the soundtrack is titled Dilli-6, everyone else seems to have Delhi 6 Smashits.com, IMDB, and Amazon. Heiro 08:20, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Genda Phool (Badshah song) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 19:48, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
