A lot of emphasis on Jewish contributions on Montreal while other ethnic groups are only partially mentioned. Obviously the Jewish community has offered a lot to Montreal but I think for such a small slice of the overall population they probably haven't contributed the most thereby I think other groups particular French and English have their Cultural achievements in the city emphasized. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.71.66.154 (talk) 19:18, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicities City of Montreal

[edit]

Hello! It looks like I was able to place the 2021 Census info for the city of Montreal, but the data looks offset in accordance to the years posted. Can anybody fix the chart so the data is correct with the corresponding years? It would be a great pleasure if it were to be corrected. Also, Do you think the chart can be adjustable like the one in the City of Toronto? I'm referring to the up and down arrows which can place the figures from greatest to least and vice versa? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhiladelphiaWanderer34 (talkcontribs) 13:25, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Change in the City of Montreal's Diversity Chart

[edit]

I've just checked the city of Montreal's diversity chart (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Montreal#City_of_Montreal) and I just wanted to know why the abrupt change from the past chart to this pan ethnic chart? The chart I created was just an addition and a reflection from the 2021 Canadian Census. It also included certain ethnic groups similar to the city of Toronto's diversity chart (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Toronto#City_of_Toronto) such as Filipinos, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Latin Americans and First Nations groups. I wished that the Canadian Census did a much better job of reporting certain ethnic groups, but either way, it's unfair that the city of Montreal has to have such an inferior chart than the one I created a few weeks back. I'm only petitioning for the original chart that I created to return since if Toronto has a detailed chart, than so should Montreal on this site! — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhiladelphiaWanderer34 (talkcontribs) 07:39, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just reinstated it. Cheers. Van00220 (talk) 22:46, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
