He was awarded a Churchill Scholarship to study the relationship between poetry, religion and music on the island of Mauritius.

Some of Huntley's other works include:

Figurative Bath Stone corbels for St Mark’s Church in Wimbledon. Sadly these were destroyed when a fire ravaged the church in 1966. These were “Angel with Syrinx”; “Christ turning out money changers”; “Peter and the tribute money” and “St Luke and St John”.
A bronze portrait of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (1900–1985) the first Prime Minister of an independent Mauritius, commissioned by the Government of Mauritius and won in competition. Now in the grounds of the Ramgoolam National Hospital in Pamplemousses, Mauritius.
A polychrome figure of Anne Boleyn at Sutton in Surrey. This is featured in the “I-Spy” book issued by Sutton Leisure Services –ISBN 1-85671-103-X,

A modelled and cast figurehead of a woman on a privately owned treehouse in Biarritz the tree house being in the form of a galleon.
