Bodger and Badger

[edit]

I know this sounds bloody unlikely but this page links from the bodger and badger wiki page. I'm sure it's a mistake but if someone could confirm or deny if Dennis Wise did appear in a season of the show i'd be very grateful.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.104.252.69 (talkcontribs)

It's just subtle vandalism added to the article a while back, but it went unnoticed. The correct actor is Roger Walker. I've now reverted it back. SteveO 21:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Millwall

[edit]

"United were at the time, 25 league places above The Lions. Millwall, were only the twenty forth team outside of the top flight, to reach the final in the history of the competion, and only the third, in the last twenty four finals." This makes the article sound like a panegyric to Millwall F.C.'s achievement. At least some of it should be removed. SteveO

'Start a fight in an empty house'

[edit]

I thought Alex Ferguson said this about Paul Ince, not Dennis Wise. Martyn Smith 10:30, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I always thought he said it about Wise. A yahoo search turns up plenty of matches. SteveO 13:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

your'e correct he said it about Wise, not Ince.

Calum Davidson

[edit]

It's well known that Wise assaulted Calum Davidson as the latter was actually asleep so have included this. Will cite some sources when I can be bothered. Magpie1892

Not sure about this; think Joey Barton would give him a run for his money. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mirrorballman (talkcontribs) 18:48, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Leeds points dedcution

[edit]

The BBC site that states Leeds were deducted 10 points is incorrect (as usual), 15 points were deducted http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/Leeds-United-continue-fight-for.3534684.jp Educated Guest (talk) 18:00, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please ignore the above, I was confused as to which points deduction was being refered to. Thanks, Educated Guest (talk) 18:18, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Leeds legend"

[edit]

Typo aside, this line is a clear breach of NPOV:

"He quicly became a leeds legend and will forever be remembered a true leeds legend."

And also, from my recollections, he was pretty roundly disliked last season when Leeds failed to make any notable improvement under his guideance. I think this part needs removing. - Gary, 82.133.120.26 (talk) 16:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now removed. --Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 16:53, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be fair to write in the article that Newcastle United fans regard Dennis Wise as Satan Incarnate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.241.226.130 (talk) 11:27, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I think Ant an Dec have vandalised this page!86.8.145.87 (talk) 22:29, 24 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I get the very small man thing may be a joke but that's not how Wikipedia works Pepper Gaming (talk)

This is jokes 😂😂 TheDirectorOfEditing (talk) 22:45, 24 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@TheDirectorOfEditing: agreed, plus the editors who did this needs to know that wikipedia isn't for things like this . Pepper Gaming (talk)

I also 5ft 6 isn't a very small man but actually 5ft 6 is quite tall. Pepper Gaming (talk)

Dennis Frank Wise is an English former football player and manager, and former Executive Director of Football at Newcastle United. Wise played as a central midfielder.

Dennis Wise Born 16 December 1987 Kensington, London Preshadina64 (talk) 21:15, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: That date of birth contradicts cited sources in the article. If there's another Dennis Wise, he'll need a different article; we can't make this one article about two people. —C.Fred (talk) 21:24, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

hieght

[edit]

Is it ok if I add a message to hieght "saying to not change it from 5ft 6" or something along those lines. Pepper Gaming (talk) 22:31, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a history of his height being changed? If not, I don't see why that would be necessary. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:38, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In fact there is as People keep changing his hieght to "he's a very small man" Pepper Gaming (talk) 22:44, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The article was semi-protected earlier today, so it shouldn't be a problem anymore. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:49, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks, I just don't know why people just are editing his hieght, I know Dec said this as a joke but these editors who are vandalising this are just taking this too far Pepper Gaming (talk) 22:56, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hopefully by the time this page protection expires it everyone will have forgotten the "Small man" joke Pepper Gaming (talk) 23:05, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
