[edit]In biochemistry, the word is used for compounds that at least theoretically can be formed from the precursor compound.
Does this sentence apply to "derivative" or to "structural analogue"? In the last case it is superfluous.--Wickey-nl (talk) 09:53, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
