Stop redirecting to copula[edit]

Perhaps if you clowns would stop redirecting to Copula and left the actual article alone for a while, it might actually get edited up to a reasonable standard.

What is desu?[edit]

DESU is love DESU is life, OK enough of that...lol. I would probably get banned...welp anyways.. Desu can be said as des-u Or as Des People usually say it as des. Desu ne- its used as Isn't it... e.g kauai desu ne? translation - Its cute isn't it? PRO Tips- If u don't know how to use desu, say it at the end of a sentence... e.g Sorry desu

I hope this was useful. AND AlSO:DO NOT overuse the word desu it would sound too weird if u say it in every sentence.

compromise[edit]

You guys, how about we leave it at:

  • The nickname of Suiseiseki, a fictional character in Rozen Maiden, which is also used as a meme.

Given wikipedia's requirement for WP:RS reliable sources, that's probably the most that we will able to put into the page..... Until at least two reliable sources talk about it (for example, Wired and Computerworld, or two different articles on Wired).

I suggest you go flood somewhere notable until you get the meme on some reliable source (free hint: flooding wikipedia doesn't count unless the flood gets reported on a reliable source). --Enric Naval (talk) 21:00, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

yeah, how did it get called a Meme? Iv'e only seen it three times, while all the other Memes are everywhere. I can name about 30 each of LOLcat, Numa Numa, All Your Base, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.247.232.41 (talk) 19:05, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
People who are searching for Souiseiseki can go to that page. IMO, the article desu should remain related to the internet meme (which, by the way, is VERY known otside 4chan).
You can keep saying that until you're blue in the face- however, until it's received some coverage from reliable sources, it is not going to be mentioned, let alone have its own article. J Milburn (talk) 17:32, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What about Tamama from Keroro Gunsou? He says desu to end his sentences. So why not include this fact in this page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.68.226.15 (talk) 22:55, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That depends. Are we going to undiscriminatedly list every single manga character that uses "desu" in a violation of WP:INDISCRIMINATE, or are we going to list only Suiseiseki because it was her who originated the internet meme? --Enric Naval (talk) 01:00, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is a disambiguation page - WP:DAB. IT IS NOT AN ARTICLE (slaps self with trout for shouting). Its purpose is to lead people who search for Desu on Wikipedia to be guided to the appropriate article. The fact that somone says 'Desu' is not a reason to link to their article. Perhaps Souiseiseki should not be here. Dougweller (talk) 08:40, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Souseiseki shouldn't be, she's "boku". Suiseiseki should still have a link from here, IMO, but she fails WP:RS for now :/ Tar7arus (talk) 10:57, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
