Question to toolchain phases [SOLVED][edit]

Why are phases defined here as PLAN, CREATE, VERIFY, PACKAGE, RELEASE, CONFIGURE, MONITOR and not PLAN, CODE, BUILD, TEST, RELEASE, DEPLOY, OPERATE, MONITOR? (as referenced here: http://passionateaboutoss.com/what-does-devops-mean-to-oss/) Or, maybe both views can be compared/integrated? Or are these different approaches? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skyroad (talkcontribs) 06:48, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting reference to one-man blog entry (itself citing "an unknown source" for that alternate phraseology) per Verifiability content policy. See WP:SELFPUBLISH. -- Paulscrawl (talk) 20:15, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why not use a table format?[edit]

Why not present DevOps phases as a table with references to product family pages and comparisons? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.26.72.143 (talk) 04:54, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merge back w/ main DevOps article[edit]

This is a confusing nebulous article that combines these two concepts of a ToolChain with Stages of development or a life cycle. Probably doesn't merit it's own page, mainly just a regurgitation of the Gartner report which talked about tools used during the various stages. I think merging some of this page back into the main article would make that article more interesting. Catjgb (talk) 05:48, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
