Shed

[edit]

I've removed this from the article: "Few people know that Dexter (A.K.A Nick) used to live in a shed which was located in his back garden in Cotham Park, Bristol." Reference needed.--Ethicoaestheticist 10:22, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

However, I am 100% sure this is true as I am related to the artist himself. I don't understand how to give a reference and just wanted my step-uncle's real name and to tell how he expressed his artistic talent when he was younger.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alice Street (talkcontribs) 18:22, 11 June 2007 UTC.

Thanks for your comment. Apologies for accusing you of vandalism. To be included in the article these details need to be backed up with a published source - say, an exhibition catalogue or an interview. According to WP:V, "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth." In other words, it's not enough that the statements are true, they have to have been published by a reliable source.--Ethicoaestheticist 18:57, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have added a link to a video in which the artist talks about his works on show at the Tate St Ives exhibition. He talks about the ideas behind the paintings, and how his work evolves from small collage into a finished painting. This is quite interesting in terms of artistic process.
