I did a research paper on Dhoruba for school and found his life interesting enough to follow up and start an article here. It's hard to believe that there was nothing on wikipedia about him before this. I know the article is far from perfect and maybe not balanced out as much as it should be, but please don't spout hate in my direction, add more to the article so it's better instead! This is my first long piece for wikipedia and I have not inserted anything without backing it up with a reference, most of which are available online and I have provided refs and links where possible or appropriate. Thank you. Psychotic Hitchhiker (talk) 09:54, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you, the information on Bin Wahad is very poor in length when compared to other articles in on Wikipedia, which is truly disheartening. It seems to be the people forget that he went to prison on the bias of false allegations and that before that, that he worked hard on trying to aid his community. This article also needs to include his significant work with the Black Panther Party, for example how he organized the group chapters in New York and along the Eastern Seaboard. And who can not forget his efforts on drug rehabilitation and push back of drugs in the black communities. With the inclusion of this information, the sections of settlement with the FBI will seem little in significance because we as readers will be able to see that the time taken from this man does not have a value. If we could only imagine the work that would have blossomed from Bin Wahad if he had not gone to prison or if his time was not spent in legal offices fighting for his freedom. YouTube Interview

[edit]

You can find an hour of interview with him done in Austria after his appearance at the University of Vienna was cancelled on grounds of accusations he shall be an anti-Semite. Founder/co-founder of BLA?

[edit]

The lede describes Dhoruba as a founder of the Black Liberation Army, but this apparently very important claim is not sourced or elaborated in the article. It is not addressed in the principal Black Liberation Army article. Have historians of the era not resolved this point? Someone with expertise on the subject should spell out this aspect.
