DiMera family (Days of Our Lives)DiMera family – There is only ONE "DiMera family" so the title is unnecessary. There is no other DiMera family for the characters to be confused with. Nk3play2 my buzz 20:46, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strongly support. Literally no other DiMera family. Like, even "DiMera" already redirects here. No need for disambiguation. Move to "DiMera family". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paintspot (talkcontribs)
  • This looks uncontroversial at first glance, but it is worth noting that a previous version of the page was merged and redirected as the result of an AfD for the suggested target. Dekimasuよ! 16:34, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the page history

[edit]

Dekimasu, I've done a couple of history-merges to get the history all back onto this page. Note HERE that just a couple of months after the merge & redirect of DiMera family, 69.140.26.185 reconstituted the article at DiMera family (Days of Our Lives). Zppix page-swapped the pages so that the history of DiMera family (Days of Our Lives) was moved to DiMera family and the history of DiMera family was moved to DiMera family (Days of Our Lives). I can recall only one time when, as an admin I determined that a page-swap was the best solution for a page-moving scenario, and found that the WP:PAGESWAP tool was actually a good tool for admins as well. Of course, that's usually the only option for page-movers, so they settle for that because they can't make a true admin-move. In this scenario, "moving" using Special:MergeHistory was the best solution. There was also a 2007 cut-paste that I repaired as well. Now, if only people would be satisfied with maintaining this sort of content over at FANDOM powered by Wikia, where it is better suited, and where they may not be required to cite reliable sources for their content. – wbm1058 (talk) 13:10, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

FYI i did consult an admin on IRC prior to this move that I did, and they didnt see issue with me doing it. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 15:12, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to both of you for your work on this, particularly since I only tossed in a few comments and did nothing to fix anything myself. Dekimasuよ! 23:19, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
