Fair use rationale for Image:JudasPriest DiamondsAndRust Single 1977.jpg

[edit]

Image:JudasPriest DiamondsAndRust Single 1977.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to [[:Image:JudasPriest DiamondsAndRust Single 1977.j pg|the image description page]] and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure whoever wrote this page misinterpreted the passage from her memoir. Judging from the passage quoted, it seems it is in fact about Dylan, she simply didn't want to admit it to him 129.120.244.89 11:00, 1 December 2007 (UTC)CrackKid[reply]

Dylan

[edit]

I agree with the above comment. Diamonds and Rust includes this verse:

Well you burst on the scene
Already a legend
The unwashed phenomenon
The original vagabond
You strayed into my arms

At the time it came out, everyone knew that was about Bob Dylan, and I don't recall Joan Baez ever being reported as saying it wasn't. It's been quite a while since I read And a Song to Sing With, but I think she must have been engaging in a little playful repartee with Dylan. Sca (talk) 18:33, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redundant/Irrelevant Information.

[edit]

Hello. After the second paragraph, a torrent of weirdness it is. Well, there's redundant information on "Thunderstone" covers (duplicate entry, already fixed). Secondly, by searching Menschenaffe and Watermark 6000 on google, the most relevant result points to this very page. They are unsigned bands. Hence, it does seem irrelevant adding information about their covers. XKuei (talk) 18:11, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed can somebody tidy this page up, the "covers" information is terrible.r011in (talk) 17:15, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

lyrics

[edit]

It would be good if this article could have more lyrics of the song -- but maybe that would not be allowed...-71.174.188.32 (talk) 03:12, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The lyrics are mostly quoted as:

You strayed into my arms

but sometimes as:

The original vagabond you strayed into my heart

It seems it was performed both ways? Who performed "heart", when?-71.174.188.32 (talk) 03:22, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
