Sexually-suggestive name

[edit]

What a name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.186.122.139 (talk) 21:22, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. Just imagine if he bought the company that makes Tang and... well, you can imagine the rest. It's a tortured joke, I know, but in the face of the original comment, I'm sorry... I just couldn't resist.

Minor updates

[edit]

While making some changes to the Michelle Yeoh page, I necessarily visited Poon's page and saw a few things that needed a little spiffing up... so I spiffed. I still want to do more, like nailing down precisely when he was married to Marjorie Yang. Also, does anyone know, for sure, if Poon actually put Yeoh in the commercial opposite Chan, or he only saw her in it and then recruited her for a film? Anyway, I'm not done. Right now it's little more than a stub, and so needs to be expanded.

Sir Dickson Poon?

[edit]

The sections referring to Dickson Poon as "Sir Dickson Poon" may need to be edited. There reaso for the edit/correction might be: A CBE -- Commander of the Order of the British Empire allowing the holder to use the letters CBE after their name, for example Mr John Smith CBE -- only the two highest ranks (KBE and GBE are deemed knighthoods) entitling one to use "Sir" before their name. See the Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_British_Empire for the for further clarification and also http://royalcentral.co.uk/blogs/insight/a-guide-to-the-order-of-the-british-empire-21224.

Question answered: It seems he is entitled to use the "Sir" as he was made a knight bachelor in addition to the CBE award itself. There are other examples of this, such as Sir Elton John CBE. 2604:6000:6F43:B200:A13F:EB00:7367:F44C (talk) 17:55, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
