Contribution of scientists should be respected

[edit]

User:Jytdog The page of Differentially methylated regions was maintained by many scientists. Their contribution should be respected. However, Jytdog deleted nearly all previous information. I don't think this is a good choice even he took the wikipedia rules as his weapon. I think Jytdog should be responsible for the integrity of information about Differentially methylated regions. By the way, the citation is not related to the words in current version. It is needed to re-consider changing to the proper citation for these words. Best wishes

Jytdog was following normal procedure at Wikipedia. Very large and highly detailed edits from new editors are treated carefully because we know from experience that such large edits are often too detailed, are promoting a particular perspective, or are simply a homework assignment. Many new editors do not grasp that Wikipedia is a source of general information with a particular style. Wikipedia is a mechanism for individuals, not groups, to contribute.
Finally, it is common for new, ambitious editors to find Wikipedia frustrating, but experienced editors can help if you let us. For example, an effective and easy way to contribute involves small edits to gain experience. --Smokefoot (talk) 15:41, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
