Programming Section

[edit]

Hi all,

I have made a large change to the Programming section in regards to its structure and thought I should make it clear to all editors as to why. Firstly, there is no need to separate programming into various sub-categories which have no relevance to Disney XD Australia (e.g. having a sub-section for co-productions when Disney XD have no original productions, and thus they are not co-producers). I have made the subsections reflect those of Disney XD U.K.. I have also cross referenced each series by either the Disney XD website or by the Foxtel TV guide to ensure all programs listed as Current are actually screening. Two series (Mr. Young and Mickey Mouse) were not listed on either site and so I removed them. If someone has a reference which states these series are in fact screening please do put them back into the article under their respective subsection. Also, I have no knowledge of which series were previously shown on Disney Channel (Australia and New Zealand) so which ever shows had "(second-run)" notes besides them I moved to the "Reruns" subsection, but if they are in fact premieres please move them to the either the Live-Action or Animation subsection.

I hope my edit and this clarification betters the article and everyone's understandind,

Revert to last revision by Forbesy 777. He discussed his edits before changing layout. A vandal changed it without discussion. 208.54.90.177 (talk) 13:14, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done - I hope - assuming I understood your request, but I cannot remove the AFD template - Arjayay (talk) 18:24, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wander Over Yonder added to "Animated Series".

[edit]

It came out April 10, 2014, like everything else in Disney XD Australia.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 06:00, 18 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: Wander Over Yonder is not listed on the Disney XD Australia website and is not listed in this weeks TV guide so I can only assume that the series does not currently air, and thus should not be listed.Forbesy 777 (talk) 05:43, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

According to Foxtel TV Guide, Wander Over Yonder will premiere 9 June, there is also a promo on the channel. 101.162.201.65 (talk) 06:02, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wander Over Yonder to be added.

[edit]

It premiered on the 9 June so it should be added to the current programming section. Mitchellellis1 (talk) 23:50, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This has been removed since there is no source indicated. As indicated above TV Guides are not appropriate sources. As they only show the current and furture programming and cannot be used to confirm actual shows. --Spshu (talk) 13:07, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re-add all of the deleted programs. They are all correct because they are aired on Disney XD channel in other countries. The Foxtel TV guide and audience measurement also shows them airing. 172.56.29.240 (talk) 10:48, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit protected}} template. This is because this issue was previously subject to a dispute between editors. DJAMP4444 19:03, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Revert the edits of Mitchellellis1. The user added unsourced shows and changed the layout without discussion. 172.56.28.228 (talk) 10:08, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mitchellellis1, your edits were reverse do to them not having any in-line sources, thus not verifiable. The initial discussion occurred on my talk page. WP is not a TV Guide, only "..significant program lists and schedules may be acceptable." Spshu (talk) 13:07, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If the TV Guide says they air then they must air on the channel, a TV Guide says what shows are on that channel, so I don't see how the Guide wouldn't be reliable if it shows the current programming. 124.185.198.188 (talk) 03:02, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It is unverfiable. As an editor check the TV Guide the next day would not see yesterday's TV Guide atleast online guides. Secondly, Wikipedia is not a TV Guide, so just replicating the TV Guide would make it a TV Guide. Spshu (talk) 13:26, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but we don't need dates we just need to prove that they air on the channel, each show should air at least once a day so that would make it that it currently airs. 121.222.118.247 (talk) 14:19, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
But you have not proved that they air on the channel such that the source is verifiable. Spshu (talk) 19:49, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Programming Section 2.0

[edit]

Hi all,

So the programming section had once again been organized into various sub-categories which were purely unnecessary. I have done my best to re-order the section into the various Live-Action, Animation and Reruns subsections. Unfortunately, as I'm not a viewer of the channel I have likely made mistakes in some of the shows positions (e.g. one of the programs in the Reruns section may in fact have been a first-run Animation series). If I have in fact made a mistake please move the program to the correct section. If anyone can offer good reasons as to why the Programming section should be separated into various subcategories please reply to this post and we can start a discussion as to how it should be presented. But as I said in the section above when I originally reorganized the section, the current structure reflects that used internationally and reduces clutter and chaos in the article.

Thanks,

Forbesy 777 (talk) 05:50, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I moved some shows into the correct places as some of them such as Wander Over Yonder was in the Live-Action section not the Animated.

Programming Section September 2015

[edit]

The programming section has again been vandalised, converting the list format into tables and adding no supporting references. There were three shows listed in the edit which are not currently listed. They are: Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Future-Worm! Shorts, Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales, and Guardians of the Galaxy Shorts. Can someone confirm (and provide references if possible) if these shows actually are airing on the channel before I add them to the section. Also, the IP editor added a Future programming subsection, however, none of the programs had supporting references and thus were in breach of WP:VERIFIABLE.
