"Druggist" might be an historic term in the U.S., but "pharmacist" is far more commonly used. A Google News search for articles in the United States shows 1144 articles in the past month using "pharmacist" [1] and only 21 using "druggist" [2], and many of the instances of "drugist" referred to ones in the distant past, like "my grandfather was a druggist" or "he was a pioneer druggist" or "Coca Cola was invented long ago by a druggist". Is this about a profession or a type of business?

[edit]

The article starts out as if describing a profession, but soon turns out to be about a kind of retail business. Please clarify the intended concept. —Wegesrand (talk) 17:10, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page reads like an advert for Boots...

Think it needs some clearing up... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.237.64.150 (talk) 11:17, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up

[edit]

AGREE this needs a serious clean up... I moved the line on history of drugstore to the relevant section (community pharmacy) of the general Pharmacy article. The add for the retail chain in the UK needs to go... The information on the professional title can go to the Pharmacist article as per the merger proposal (with appropriate redirect).
