Untitled[edit]

Attention, the painting on the right is not the Kazimirowski one, it is an altered version of the Hylla (Krakow) image. www.faustynki.pl has the original Kazimirowski. user:Prorokini, January 31st.

Added some information to the article. user:Prorokini, January 31st.

Special protection for city or home which displays the image[edit]

According to the Diary of Saint Faustina, Jesus will grant special protection and mercy to any city that venerates the Image and any home that displays it.

There is no citation to the diary for this statement. This statement is found in many places in the web, but I am unable to find a specific passage in the diary which promises protection for either cities or homes. The only blessings that are promised in the diary are to souls:

I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. [Diary, 48]

The reference to cities and homes is reported by Fr Michalenko as possibly being kept on a piece of paper not in the diary. See Divine Mercy Hawaii

I recommend that the reference to the diary be either changed to refer to the correct source, with a citation, or removed altogether. A promise directly from the diary (eg. #48 cited above) seems to be more appropriate in an encyclopedia summary.

I replaced this line with a new para referencing the origin of the image in the Diary Javaman59 (talk) 22:16, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Jesus Of Divine Mercy.jpg[edit]

Image:Jesus Of Divine Mercy.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Why is this image being used?[edit]

The painting of Divine Mercy is in the public domain. Why is the one used on this page copyrighted? Because of the text added below?

This page should use the same public domain image as the main Divine Mercy page, namely this image: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Divina_Misericordia_(Eugeniusz_Kazimirowski,_1934).jpg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caled (talkcontribs) 01:57, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
